Tender Moments | Four Seasons Oahu Family Photo Session
This beautiful family lives in central Oahu and has enjoyed many of the scenic vistas the island has to offer for their entire life, but when it came time to capture their family photos, they chose to come have them done within the beautiful Four Seasons Oahu at Ko Olina. Plus, we had just taken photos with Mrs. O’s friend, and she was inspired to capture some similarly precious moments together with her own family during the time her daughter was home from college. Taking photos at Ko Olina can be a little tricky since it is private property, and Ko Olina does have strict rules about outside photographers, but as the exclusive portrait photographers for the Four Seasons Oahu we were able to offer them access to the scenic property without trespassing, or paying an additional fee for a Ko Olina photography permit! While our photography studio is based inside the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina , you don’t have to be currently staying there to enjoy our services, and we were stoked to capture this family’s beautiful memories together!
For their outfits, the O family chose white tones, but to mix it up a little bit they added some khaki, cream, and light blue tones and patterns, and Mrs. O added her own vibrant pop with a long, flowy coral dress. Moms - it is TOTALLY ok to be the star of the show because let’s be honest, we know you are, plus it’s always hardest for you to find an outfit that you love and feel comfortable in!
For the ladies, Mrs. O decided to deck her family out in beautiful haku leis, designed by the local floral artist Hau’oli, based right here in Kapolei.
These beautiful sisters grew up dancing hula together, and mother wanted to capture a few moments of them together dancing on the rocks against the soft golden sun.
You’re never to old to enjoy a little mother daughter time together! We often get asked what type of dress to wear and this family is a great example - we love how comfortable Mrs. O was in a long, flowy dress, since she could easily sit down on the rocks without worries of her dress riding up too high, but then a little tuck in the middle provided a hint of definition to accent her figure. For her daughters, their knee-length dresses were fine since they weren’t too tight, and they could tuck their legs off to the side when they were sitting to keep everything hidden.
Little X didn’t like being left out of the photo, and it was time for his sisters to come back and play with him.
While the children played together and enjoyed the final moments of sunset, Mom and Dad rocked a sleepy baby to sleep in the soft ocean breeze.
Sleep tight, little one! Thank you O family for letting us capture your beautiful family moments together.
